Think it's an english term but hopefully everybody understands the concept.

I have a load of stuff I'd like to get rid off, too good to throw or give away.  I've found all the classified ad sites in Thailand to be a waste of time.  There's too little traffic.  And most too bulky/heavy to ship internationally on eBay.

I know I could try Facebook but not reading/writing Thai is a problem.

As in you mean a market to sell it from the boot of a car. If so, in short ... no Thailand doesn't have.

What's it all worth ? it will cost you more time and hassle to try and sell it just to make a few bucks out of it ? right ...... just give it away to someone who needs it more than you, they will love you forever and you will feel good for that day knowing you did one thing in your life that was kind.

No but I could borrow a friend's car.

Sea kayak

Inflatable kayak

Bicycle

sports equipment e.g. tennis racquets

a printer

portable camping stove thing

the usual sort of stuff

also a lot of brand new things from a previous venture such as beach toys, footwear, clothing.  with this I was going to ask around a few local shops but it is the time factor.  a carboot or market would be better as I could get rid of most of it in a morning in the same place.

Problem with those is there's not enough expats here.  Or they aren't using the fb sites.  You can list things for months and maybe get 1 reply, usually a timewaster.  I'm not overpricing either and the things aren't crap quality.  It takes too long to photo and advertise everything for too few results.

I know if I want to buy something, FB is the last place I go to buy it.

I don't mind eBay because things sell quickly, usually within the first month.  But can't ship big stuff internationally it's not economical.

Try and place an ad here in the classified section.
It sounds like you have camping gear which is always required

I don't want to slag off the site I'm using to ask for help, but Thaivisa Classifieds is the sort of example I mean, you post there and it's dead.  822 active ads, a lot of those car and condo ads.

Really tired of trying to sell online so looking to sell face to face.

I dont know where you are, but Pattaya has two auction houses, and thats where I take my stuff. It all depends on the auction day, who is attending. You probably wont get as much as you want, but better than being stuck with the stuff. I sold two kayaks on Craigslist, but it took about two months and only a couple replies. I usually have a few bigger items on Craigslist, but you need a lot of patience! It is really difficult, but I cant think of any other way. If your in BKK, there must be a few auction houses there.     Good Luck!

There are car boots everywhere it is just a slightly different format. Local areas usually have a range of markets. Some of those markets have many people selling 2nd hand stuff. Today I was at one in a park many 2nd hand sellers there.
