Win10 default for all fodlers?

Featured Replies

Any way to set the default for all Windows folders?

I like to have all files in list format and also to remove date, time etc.

Any way to make all folders default set to do this?

Thank you

The Google search page that NCC1701A provided above will get you to the same place as this if you scroll down a bit. The following is how I normally do it; this is taken from W10.

Open your File Explorer by either clicking on the (default) pinned folder icon on your taskbar, combining the keys Winkey + E or right-clicking on the start button and clicking on File Explorer.

Select any folder (in the example I have clicked on My Documents).

On the menu bar click on View and select List.

Click on the View tab again, click on Options and then Change folder and search options.

When the folder option window opens, select the View tab, click Apply to all Folders and then Apply & OK. After this, all your folders in File Explorer will open in the File view by default.

Hope that helps, it isn't as complicated as it looks............................
