True Hisp Internet Download With Bad Checksums

Featured Replies

I've had a True Hisp Internet connection for a year. All this time, I've been accessing internet att full speed (except during the quake), and my speed doubled with the new promotion. P2P works fine. I've had no complaints.

Suddenly, about two days ago, files would be downloaded without trouble, but when checking their CRC, the downloads had failed. This is not a problem for P2P, my software automatically throws away anything with a bad CRC, but downloading stuff in Firefox or IE almost always fails.

True, true to Thai nature, don't even answer when I contact them, no matter if it is email, phone, or fax.

Has anybody else experienced this? Solved it?

If nobody has experienced or solved it, then is there a nifty plugin for FreeDownloadManager/Firefox/IE which will automatically check the CRC hashes, and redownload the parts that fail?

Cheers!

Joran,

I use TRUE 2.5 mbps and TRUE Fix IP 2 mbps and I have not any problems as you desribe. I've huge down- and uploads because I trsnfer a lot data from and to my customers: without any problem. Today it was complete more than 4 GB!!

PM me with you phone no. and I'll give you a phone No. to direct connect on higher level at TRUE!

Guys, you're in a forum for Thailand, and you're a guest in this country. Let's not be so god-awfully rude and say racist things like "true to Thai nature". Go ahead and say things like "true to True's nature", but try not to insult the whole country and its people.

Check your router. Reset it, and check the MTU/MRU settings, and try reducing them.

Thank you, but this morning it seems to work again. I'll give it another day before doing anything more. I have to prepare for the weekend anyway.

Cheers!
