I wonder what a Thai fighter would have done with him. Probably no video...

Would of most probably ended up in the exact same choke hold. Unless he had a friend but jiujitsu is great for one v one against any martial artists.

As many as 15% of Brazilians may have Italian ancestry:

Italian Brazilians - Wikipedia

"A 1999 survey..............indicated that 10.5% of Brazilian respondents claimed to have Italian ancestry; hence they would make up around 20 million descendants in a national population of 200 million"

"According to the Italian government, there are 31 million Brazilians of Italian descent"

So possibly he describes himself as "Italian-Brazilian", in a similar fashion to people in the USA who describe themselves as Italian-Americans.

(Or Irish/German/Swedish/Japanese/Chinese/African/Mexican........-Americans)

Badly written but I think he's Italian studying a Brazilian form of Jiu Jitsu.

No it's not! Jiu Jitsu is a Japanese Martial Art. Japanese living in Brazil developed Brazilian Jiu Jitsu from the Japanese original.

Great to have so many martial arts specialists on this forum. I feel much safer now.

BJJ is a good grappling style as evidenced by competition successes. However, you better be able to get out of the way of those punches and kicks because a trained boxer, muay thai, or other strike based artist that has speed and power and isn't constrained by competition "rules" may well take your head off. Unless your're similar ability to the Gracies!

An experienced Muay Thai fighter wouldn't let him come close enough and use his deadliest weapon, his knee!!

Nice! It is always refreshing to see a punk get what he deserves. He might think twice (if he is capable of learning, reflection and progressing as a human being), next time. Some people will do anything to avoid working for a living. Oxygen is something we have to earn the right to breathe. It is not something that should be considered a privilege.

what he is doing is illegal to and can be sued for this.

ok, you caught the guy but why try to choke him and inflict pain?

you are not a cop/judge/executioner combined!

just call the police.

and on top, filming it to feed his ego!

Well done, Is good to see the POS loosing Face being caught red handed. The owner well within his rights to constrain him until the Fuzz turned up. i am sure he could have easily wiped the floor with him but done the right thing.

"When Andrea, who is a Brazilian Jiu Jitsu expert was aware of the theft, he apprehended the man, keeping him pinned to the ground until the police arrived.

“Don't come to Thailand to break the law and disturb the peace and don't mess with Italians who knows jiujitsu.”

So is Andrea Brazilian, Italian, an expert in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, or Italian Jiu Jitsu experts are to be feared?????

And has he got a work permit.........

The choke hold was less painful than reading that.

Yeah,

He seems right up his own ass! I wanted to puke. I bet he's great fun on a night out flexing and telling all about his martial arts skills!

He then puts it up on social media, what a pillock!

Also, we don't need him telling us what happens if you don't behave in Thailand, he is a foreigner the same as we are.

The thief wasn't a foreigner at all , but a Thai. so why the nonsensical rant about behaving when one comes to Thailand?

Tell the bloody natives because they didn't get the memo.

The publicity stunt seems to have worked !

Publicity stunt ?   I think you should keep your mouth shut when you don't know the truth.

On Andrea's Facebook you will find all the pictures of the arrest and the police involvement .
