1) open Facebook, type in Khon Kaen immigration ... theres a map . Just past Khon Kaen university, other side of the highway.

2) I don't know

Not helpful as I did that we don't all need to be spoon feed. But I'm informed they have moved and guess what Google isn't aware of that.

If I recall correctly they are now located up stairs in bus station number 2. There is a topic about it in the Isaan forum.

I think they go by the 30 days before rule.

Be aware the 30 day report back date on the under consider stamp will start from the end your end of your current permit to stay not the date you apply.

They are based in the new buss station off the highway. 2 story building at the front. Go up the  steps to floor 1 and they are there. Well signed  across the floor outside. My experience is the 30 days.

For guidance (not knowing your intended address), from the main intersection and traffic lights outside Central Plaza, head south on route 2 until you see Tesco Lotus on your left (about 3kms). Keep on route 2 and at the second set of traffic lights after Tesco take the right U turn heading back north up route 2. You will clearly see signs pointing left for the new Bus Terminal just before the by-pass over-bridge. Access is also available from the by-pass itself. Immigration is upstairs in Terminal 2, behind Terminal 1 which you approach from route 2. Parking around the Immigration Office can be problematic but if you are prepared for a short walk there is plenty of free parking within the bus station complex. Please note, an escalator installed in Terminal 2 does not give access to Immigration - only stairs, so if you have mobility problems seek assistance.

Thanks yes I know the area well and will be coming in from the Udon Thani end via the 230 ring road.

In the area now will go along there tomorrow on way back to BKK and get the word on 30 or 45 direct from the horse's mouth so to speak.

Appreciate your guidance.

Ubonjoe posted about where Khonkaen immigration is now, he made an error, so i posted the correct info, trying to help a fellow member.

Yet jastheace posts a sad emoji on my post, please can anybody explain why any right minded member would post sad on a post helping a fellow member.!!!!

I strongly suspect that @jastheace's sadness stems from the fact that you have, in his eyes, completely ruined the new game which he has devised specially for expats living in Khon Kaen to play called "Find The Immigration Office At Their New Location", Colin! ????

There is a disabled button on the ground floor, they will come to you, if required

I believe these offices are temporary whilst new custom offices are being built for them

Thanks - I did not know of the "disabled" button. Yes, this office is temporary and the new Immigration Office will be situated off route 2 in the north of the city - even further north than the original office (no actual details yet)
