Damrongsak Posted August 3, 2019 Posted August 3, 2019 The Philippines still sells the air cooled model in addition to the liquid cooled one. It's easier to add bling to the air cooled one. They also have this cheap (41,000 baht) 150cc bike with a 5 speed manual trans. 1

wotsdermatter Posted August 4, 2019 Posted August 4, 2019 Just a tip, but one many riders of all types of 'bikes are not aware of. Always start to brake applying the front brake first. Many have come croppers doing things the other way round. Using the front brake first gives better control regardless of the position of the arms. Also, using the front brake first helps prevent the 'bike's rear end from swinging around which mosr riders are not prepared for and that action can push the 'bike forward in an uncontrolled fashion or in an uncontrolled "slew" manouver. Look at how speedway riders ride. 'nuf sed 1
johng Posted August 4, 2019 Posted August 4, 2019 Unless you have ABS front wheel braking can be rather more dangerous than the rear wheel skidding out IMHO...if you loose the front end in most cases its all over the bike goes down, rear wheel skidding while still dangerous not as much chance of going down...however you can get much more actual braking done with the front...in Thailand there is often sand/grit on the roads and lots if spilled diesel plus the usual "slippery man hole covers"
johng Posted August 5, 2019 Posted August 5, 2019 At one time I had 2 "first generation" Raider 150's carburettor, kickstart, oil cooler and less fairings. Always wanted one since the first time I saw this 125 "scrambler" back in 2005 ( parked at the entrance to Walking street ) 150 "scrambler" 1
