Best bidet shower sprayer brand

I'm looking for a bidet shower sprayer I need a very good brand. Mine is already clogged after 5 years !

VRH brand is the best I have found and easy to repair take apart if repair ever needed.  More expensive but they last.  That said 5 years for a normal spray is not too shabby.

The kind that lopburi3 has linked to is good as are the Häfele ones, here are a couple of examples.

I've replaced several over the 18 years I have lived in my house. Usually leaks are the cause of replacement. I have found no correlation between what you pay and the longevity of the spray.

My main criteria is that the spray pattern is reasonably small.  Nothing bugs me more then a wide spray area rendering my buttocks soaked and the primary function useless.

I have found that bum guns have three main causes of failure and I tend to shop around the 200-300bt mark.

1. Leaks very often caused by a breakdown in the rubber washer.

2. Water impurities rusting up the actual spray area.

3. The plastic shroud carrying the washer splits when someone tightens it after first seeing the washer failing.

And 

 

4.on the cheapest bum guns the trigger will break within a month.

I love the Thai spray system and find it much better than toilet paper, but there is also something even better: toilets with built in spray nozzles. They pop out to spray then retract when finished. It makes for a more hygienic hands free operation and a neat and tidy toilet system.

I bought several of the cheep ones, then getting fed up with replacing them I bought one about 800~900 Baht since then it has lasted over 12 years and shows no sign of failure. Because of that the ones in the new house are also quality ones.

1. Good quality neoprene O ring (I add silicone grease)

2. Non rusting spray head

3.metal shroud that can't split

Having used many of those in Japan the spray is not forceful enough for me and while both the temperature and power ar adjustable in some none could be turned up enough.

Both the The Häfele ones and the other brand have a narrow spray pattern, the strength is adjustable on the wall outlet fittings

I saw these things installed in the public toilets in the Terminal 21 here in Pattaya. Never used this. Can't imagine that this is very hygienic. At least this is my feeling. In public toilets I wouldn't touch the hand shower too.

Why not? I've been using them for many years in the Apple Store in Ginza and they have never been other than squeaky clean and fresh smelling, something that can't be said of other styles of toilets in similar buildings.

If you have experienced some of the Japanese public toilets you would know that sniffing is an extraordinary bad idea, you need to hold your breath if you can.

The country is generally extremely clean, though the level of street cleaning has dropped considerably in the last 10 years, even so it is still good.

 

However the toilets in public parks very often smell so badly that I would only ever use one if I was really really desperate and try my best not to breathe while using one. Station toilets are a step up but they often smell quite badly as well. The Japanese style toilet seems to be a prime culprit.lockquote widget

The OP would be well served if he bought one of the VRH models. Made in Thailand, and backed by a real warranty. I've bought many brands, yet only VRH has worked as well for so many years. The Cotto and Toto toilets with the built in sprays are well worth consideration if you have the budget. My next home will have one of those brands with the Japanese style sprayer and dryer. VRH is sold at most every Global House or ThaiWatsadu.  HomePro does not stock this brand.

I go to Boonthavorn for anything to do with faucets, toilet, valves, bath fixtures, etc.  The quality at the "Home" places is just too dodgy.

Slightly off topic, but relevant. There have been adverts recently for 'the best shower head in USA' or UK. Filled with little stones and whatever. In USA they were $65, and in UK £45.

Lazada....Bht 79. Same thing, maybe not quite as durable but does exactly the same thing. I got 3 for Bht 200.
