Middle class/ Hi-So thai women ignore me

the lower class street working girl will always invited me for a sit down , a whisky and a chat when im in town either up in isaan or in pattaya or Phuket .

 

The other higher class thai women weren't interested in an obvious low budget, long term farang, The attitude felt like "Why are you in my presence?" rather than "do you want to sit and have a whisky?"

 

to more beautiful Bangkokian women especially seem stressed out and too busy , I feel bangkok is friendly on a superficial level, But to meet someone its not the place, Too much emphasis on money, And with a strong baht nobody is rich to the standard they need  anymore.

It is very hard for a Thai lady to walk around with a farang especially if there is a big age difference. Many might think she is a bar girl. Even farangs with older Thai looking kids might have a problem. And if you walk with a young looking guy the people might think you are a gay even if it is your son. And if your children are younger the people might think you are a pedophile. You will not have the same thinking in western countries. But there is a reason why people think here differently.

well i cleaned up my act, haven't had a drop in 5 days and bought new cloths, Am feeling a lot better and am heading home soon with a job offer as a gardener in Australia.

 

even then when i approach women around sukhumvit it  feels like they either want money or know they can do better so they reject the approach.

 

IMHO Farang  holds lower status than before when i came here a decade ago , It seems regular thai women have developed a radar for cheap charlies/Farangs who are impossible to get money out of and just learned to ignore us.

Drinking alcohol is a big no, no as well.

Even the bar girls refuse drinks when they settle down and stop doing 'short-time' rental.

Nonsense. I go to dinner frequently with Thai women colleagues and they not only will drink whiskey, they know the difference between rot gut Thai junk and good stuff. Most tend to enjoy expensive wines however.

 

If you want to meet a middle to upper class Thai women it is going to take some work, effort and you will have to be a professional, well dressed, clean cut, have a personality. If you walk around in shorts and printed T shirts in BKK you are a short stay tourist in their eyes.

Bangkok females checklist must be a mile long, I feel sorry for 30K a month english teachers, Those guys will be very restricted in Bangkok in regards to  dating, What i do see in sukhumvit is a lot of Phoney rich European farangs hanging around expensive hotels and bars, Inner city thailand is honestly on par with inner city singapore or shanghai when it comes to women Just another big asian city jam packed full of money grubbers.

When i had business in Bkk i met my now wife over 20 yrs ago ,her sister who also had a business insisted on coming to my office to check out if i was " decent" before we actually went on a date,its the way of middle class Thais.

True in so many ways. When I met my wife,  she would date me in company of her friends or her brother would come. Took me three months before she would come to a movie alone and it was always day time. She does not drink. She always had company with her till we got engaged. 

 

Women tend to have a fifth sense. Most can tell straight off if you're on the straight and narrow or just out for a bit of fun.  I know plenty of girls in my wife's circle looking for a farang but I can tell you, they are much more choosy these days as the internet has changed the scope of guy they can met massively.

I also think there is the foreigner interpretation that all Thai women are easy and will shack up with any foreigner man, no matter how they look, their age, how they behave etc. In the Bar Girl world that probably holds true but they have low self esteem and a low standard. You step up and want to meet a business professional Thai women they are usually educated, have expectations and looks and age do matter. Its no different then any other country for the most part.

Presentation is the key, the younger you look and that confident smile showing your glowing pearly whites also helps, know what open lines to use, so they have to respond, usually works, and I reckon they will be all over you like a rash, or leave you with one, no need to buy them whiskey, saving you money, although it does help to shave your nuts ????

What I never understand is why any western guy would want to meet a woman like this.

Might as well get one from your home country as they'll behave exactly the same, not much time for you (too busy working), strictly rationed sex, cheat on you with guys at work, they'll expect you to do half the housework, and nag you constantly.

To the Op, hit the parks and do a bit of exercise. Women are always coming up to me to get a chat on when I am exercising and I'm no oil painting. Last night I stopped to have conversations with two different women who approached me separately. I was only at the park for 45 minutes.
