An international cruise line, based in the United Kingdom, will soon start operations in the Mekong River and ferry passengers between Cambodia and Vietnam. Emerald Waterways announced recently that it will launch its Mekong service on August 31 using a brand new ship, the Emerald Harmony.

David Winterton, the company’s UK marketing head, was quoted as saying in Cruise Trade News that the launch of its Mekong operations will be a milestone in its efforts to maintain its standing as one of the leading river cruise brands in the world.
