Work Permit On A Retirement Extention

Featured Replies

After reading here in a post by Sunbelt asia that a WP can be issued to a person holding a Retirement Visa I am taking a job that was offered. The law firm that the company uses has said the WP will be in my hands in 2 weeks.

But here's my question I will be making enough Income to live on no problem there but My RV is based on 800,000 Baht in the bank here. I want to leave the money untouched as I won't need it thanks to the income from the Job. Will I have a problem next year when I renew as I would not be withdrawing monthly to live on it Just carrying it over year to year

Thanks

There is no requirement to live on the money in the bank - that is to prove you have the funds to support yourself for the next 12 months and even fixed deposit accounts are often accepted. If you are able to obtain a work permit all the more reason not to question it.
