Cameron's promises were consigned to the dustbin when he resigned. Did the end of democracy come when we didn't leave on March 28th? Expect an extension to the October 31st deadline, a GE in which 2 paties will pledge a confirmatory vote if elected. Then expect a Lab/Lib coalition and a confirmatory vote. The Great British public will democratically vote to remain in Europe and we can all sleep soundly knowing that the British economy hasn't been completely destroyed and we can all be friends again. I do like a happy ending. it was a democratic election, not a "cameron promise"."democratic vote to remain in europe"? we,ve had a democratic vote TO GET OUT.

The UK never lost it's sovereignty while Texas is part of the USA. Apples and oranges. I do feel for my Brit friends who did not vote for Brexit but it's hard to feel anything but schadenfreude for those who still believe the BS they put on the buses.

Which Brexiteers have said they want to break the ECHR? Perhaps you just wanted an excuse to play the racist card ???? Fyi, the ECHR secures the following (noting to do with FOM): The right to life Freedom from torture Freedom from slavery The right to liberty The right to a fair trial The right not to be punished for something that wasn’t against the law at the time The right to respect for family and private life Freedom of thought, conscience and religion Freedom of expression Freedom of assembly The right to marry and start a family The right not to be discriminated against in respect of these rights The right to protection of property The right to education The right to participate in free elections The abolition of the death penalty 1
