Video: Shocking violence as husband goes to finish wife off at a hospital

CCTV showed shocking violence at a southern Thailand hospital. 

 

A husband armed with a scythe intent on finishing off his wife who he had attacked earlier was taken down by police and security personnel. 

 

Children and others were seen running away from the trouble.

 

The assailant who refused to give up his weapon was eventually shot in the leg by a police major. 

 

The man had earlier attacked his wife. She died on the way to Huay Yort Hospital in Trang. 

 

But the drunk husband went there apparently not knowing this and intent on causing more trouble. 

 

After security and police tried to calm the situation he refused to give up. 

 

A police major attached to the Huay Yort force decided to shoot the husband in the leg. He was admitted to the hospital under police guard.
