Hi Guys, 

Wifes friend is on overstay since 2017 but now she would like to employ her as a cleaner/nanny. Does anybody know what would be the process and any complications that would arise?

No chance to do this legally.

If the friend goes to an immigration office she might be arrested, fined and deported, then banned for three or ten years

If she leaves Thailand through a border she will have to pay a 20k THB fine and will be banned for three years

Leave Thailand as soon as possible and come back after 3 years.

 

• Overstayed more than 90 days – 1 year ban from Thailand
• Overstayed more than 1 year – 3 year ban from Thailand
• Overstayed more than 3 years – 5 year ban from Thailand
• Overstayed less than 1 year but apprehended and arrested – 5 year ban from Thailand
• Overstayed more than one year but apprehended and arrested – 10 year ban from Thailand
