PHUKET: More than 50 sea gypsies massed at Phuket Provincial Hall yesterday (Aug 26) to protest the excavation of a canal at the Rawai beachfront at the site of a resort being built by Baron World Trade Co Ltd, and to file a formal request to halt construction over how the Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) was being conducted for the project.

50 Muay Thai coaches converge on Ayutthaya to train for licences

The central province of Ayutthaya on Tuesday joined with the Sports Authority of Thailand to organise the training for 50 Muay Thai coaches from across the nation who had applied for their A licences (advanced professional Muay Thai coaching), in order to help promote internationally-accepted standard for lessons and training in the Thai traditional martial art.
