i am thinking five hours until the first band hits Surin. the Thai radar image internet servers have slowed down to a crawl. i am thinking they are getting over loaded now.  

 

i feel very sorry for the people of thailand. the Thai government weather radar servers have crashed or slowed to 300 baud dial up speed.

i just want to monitor the progress of the storm and now no one can do it.

how can emergency services make any plans? (on second thought, don't answer that.)

i was going to update my storm arrival prediction times and I can't even do that.

Storm arrival update:Storm arrived about two hours ago drove all the way from Yasothon back to the village 45km rained all the way and still raining quite solid but not heavy and no ferries required at this stage and as it was dark I couldn't see any flooding but will check it out tomorrow.

Wrong....  It hit Kalasin last night.. huge rainfall..  now circulating in a counterclockwise direction and moving to Laos & north west Thailand.. if you follow the tracker here you will see it will be over Chiang Rai about 10 this evening..

the rotation of the storm is so large now the low pressure is pulling rain across Phuket in the opposite direction the storm is traveling.

we are getting some slight wind here in Hun Hin.

the southern part PKK is getting some rain pulled by the low from the Andaman Sea.
