Exit Every 90 days or just 90 day report?

Featured Replies

If one has a non o marriage visa multiple entry,do you have to leave the country every 90 days or just a 90 day report? And are there any different the first year you have the visa or if you on the extension?

Leave the country every 90 days.

With a 12 month extension you report to our good friends at Immigration every 90 days.

Thanks!

I leave the country every time my 90 day report is coming up since driving to CW takes about 2 hours with traffic. The bonus of exiting LOS instead of 90-day report is that I get to see other parts of SEA for an affordable weekend every few months. This is on an extension with multi-entry, mind you.

If you've got a 12 month extension, I'd suggest just doing what I do but take your spouse.

So when on the extension you can choose either a 90 day report or leave the country and come back? No re entry permit needed for this?

Sounds a plan, but don’t you still have to go an Imm Office to show them your bank book 3 months after obtaining your extension?

Marriage extension is not retirement extension. The requirements for marriage extension is 400K 2-3(???) month prior to applying for the extension. Then you can do as you please with the 400K.

So for those on an extension based on retirement, exiting 90 days after obtaining the extension doesn’t avoid the requirement of still having to go an Imm Office for them to check your bank book?

They need 800K prior and I think 3 month after and never below 400K for the whole year. Not sure how they check this if you exit. My guess is that if you exit every 90 days they will catch you the next year.

You have a multi entry. I am so jealous married guys (in some ways)... I would love to say to my partner.."honey I have to fly Saigon for weekend. It visa issue. I hate do that but no choice"

Now the fun begins.

Correct. The post you replied to was asking about 3 month check of bankbook. The rogue imm office Jomtien is requiring this. There might be another. Just another example of bs rules and non rules with imm offices in los. CW along with the almost all other imm office do not require the 3 month check. While I'm at it... correct me if I'm wrong, I'm thinking Jomtien does not require TM30 for annual extensions. However they do for extensions to visa exempt and tourist visas.

Then we have CW. Do they require tm30 for which trips? Just those out of country or just those for domestic travel or both. How would anyone know.

Sorry, I should have added that I'm on non-b visa with 1yr extension and multi entry. Skipping 90 day reports like I described is possible on any extension.

He could get a 60 day extension, so only required to leave every 150 days.

If he uses the Non Imm O to it's potential, he could stay for almost 17 months, only 3 border runs and 3 extensions, OR almost 15 months, 3 border runs, 2 extensions.

Theoretically, no. But only 3 offices (approx) are asking people to return to verify they still have the 800k.   So this would not apply to all.

Sounds good to me. Many thanks.
