Immigration certified translation is required

Featured Replies

My work permit application has just got rejected - I used a certified translation company to translate all my documents, there is also translator's stamp on all of them... but apparently the translator has to be approved by some government body in Thailand. Is that true for everyone? Should I use some specific translator in order to do it? Thanks for any suggestions!

The embassies have cards with translators who seem to be "accredited to do such a job. What language are you talking about?

Official translation certification usually means the ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) in Bangkok.

I always have a laugh at those certified translation stamps, certified by a rubber stamp we had made up the road for 50 baht.

Thai official translations are registered with MFA to make them legal here.  Any official translation service should provide such at additional cost.  But depending on country the original language documents may have to also be legalized.
