President Butter from Normandy available in Thailand...

Expensive but seems good quality. I'm not sure it is grass fed. I bought it only once and part of it was rotten ????

  • Anchor for me.   Most of the Thai manufactured 'butters' include a significant amount (30 to 50%) of palm oil - it tastes awful.   .

  • "Best" would be a relative term wouldn't it? Best for taste, best for spreading, best for price. The blends etc are usually labelled as such and reflected in the price. An expensive way to buy bu

Always used Anchor butter in the UK, but here, it doesn't taste the same, & it smells like margarine.

I used to do this but can't find raw milk in my area. I'm thinking about keeping a couple cow for meat and milk.

Nearest supermarket is 1.5h drive.

So, if you are deep in the country, 1.5 hrs from a supermarket, why not check the Makro, Tesco Lotus, next time you are back in "civilization"?

An unopened freezer should be good for at least a couple of days after a power cut.

Not sure if you are quoting the wrong post. My picture is all Anchor butter I bought from Big C the last time I reached civilization. I also have a huge horizontal freezer full of meat. The powercut never last more than a couple hours. Worst case scenario I would have to dry all the meat!
