Meanwhile, Prayut met expat Thai supporters living in New York.

I'm guessing not many supporters turned up, if any, since this was just mentioned in passing at the end of the article. Otherwise, ramshackle publicity team would've made sure there was a photo-release of a contingent of Thai expats fannying and strutting around the Supreme Leader Comrade. Complete with feel-good quotes from the 'supportive expats'.

Just speculating.

All know, there is nothing they can do or will do , the current personnel will be ousted in the next election, time is running out for all who rolled over,

date of the next election will have the appeased folly rewarded

with zero /  nil votes.

Stacked senate, and two weeks before next election due , there will be a "national emergency" army will take over and same same over ad infinitum

Na Prayuth did not meet “expat Thai supporters” - he met a bunch of old women who had been arranged to cheer him by the consulate.

Otherwise kudos to Khun Jaran - Thailand needs more courageous people like him - not more blind sheep in front of a New York hotel.

Funny post. Is this supposed to actually accomplish something? The UN is not busy enough? High on their agenda? The really funny part is the meeting he attended.

“Galvanising Multilateral Efforts for Poverty Eradication, Quality Education, Climate Change and Inclusion”.

Poverty eradication- He and his administration are doing absolutely everything in their power to make sure the elite remain elite, and the general population remains poor.

Quality education - absolutely nothing is being done to improve the educational system in Thailand, which needs a complete overhaul, needs thorough testing procedures to judge the competency of teachers, needs to figure out a way to get the students to start questioning the teachers, so they can develop their minds, and a sense of curiosity, and needs to start failing poor students, rather than passing them so they do not anger the parents. Everything about the system is broken, and this administration does not have the juice or the vision to fix it.

Climate change- They cannot even handle the burning season here. They have half of the power stations in the nation running on oil, some on diesel. Thailand is one of the few nations in the world that still encourages the sale of diesel vehicles, when they are being shunned worldwide. No doubt many car manufacturers pass of most of their diesel vehicles off onto Thailand, which just does not seem to know any better.

Inclusion- What is being done to the ex-pat community here? Extreme xenophobia, racism, fear of the outside world, and hatred on the part of the administration and immigration, is forcing tens of thousands of ex-pats to find greener pastures, where we do not feel like pariahs. Inclusion? Is this a joke?

Bottom line? This administration is the most inferior, and least competent in recent memory. They are serving no useful function for Thai society. They are self serving to the extreme.

I am sorry and very unhappy to have read what you have written ... ????

...and what annoys me even more is to think that you are absolutely right! ????

Prayut was in New York on Monday to attend a UN meeting themed “Galvanising Multilateral Efforts for Poverty Eradication, Quality Education, Climate Change and Inclusion”

Poverty eradication.....is this some sort of sick joke by the PM? Thailand is on record as being the most unequal country in the world.

The Phalang Pracharat Party is the Party in power and employs the Prime Mister. It is a conglomerate of the richest and best connected people in the country. PM Prayut has been put in charge so as to protect their wealth and make sure it is not shared with the common people.

If they were serious about eradicating poverty they could introduce a range of "wealth" taxes.....property, inheritance, financial assets, bank deposits and the like to spread the joy among the have-nots.

Can you imagine this bunch of snobs at a fundraiser for the poor?
