  • Gotta keep those citizens in check.

  • Don’t worry; when there are more floods, they can always beg the public for donations again.

What a waste of money, they should have bought helicopters for save and rescue.

Those various helicopter mounted rockets and guidance systems are going to come in real handy when it comes time for the Thai military to blow some seasteader encampments out of the water..... :ninja:

PS -- Wonder who's going to maintain and service the new gear, and how long before it quickly becomes non-operational.

For <deleted>sakes. When will it stop! Stop buying military toys! Who the h.are you (Thai Military) going to fight with attack helicopters. Getting utterly stupid with these purchases!

Do leaders of countries ever leave a visit to the States without a weapons purchase?

Will we get the smell of napalm in the morning? I love that!

Rocket propelled launcher @ $2000 ea, grenade at $500 each you could buy a thousand of them and still have change, multiple launches at a chopper at the same time, chopper will lose,

Attack choppers? And who would they be planning to attack one might ask?

Still the inclusion of 20 sets of night-vision goggles should clinch the deal. Kinky stuff for those who are into that sort of thing.

But superior to those  available  on  Lazada?

If only we had Lazada when the PM was in charge of buying the GT-200 bomb detectors.

I found 27 hits on Lazada for "golf ball locator" - which the GT-200 really was. They are all around the 300-400 Baht price range, rather than the millions spent on the novelty version.

geez, they are still throwing billions at the military, what about the people?

It’s there country they will do what they think is best not what you think should be done

Is an invasion imminent?

I disagree, a lot of thought has gone into who will profit the most!

Are they maintenance free?....:cheesy:

you are right.  I should have said good thinking.

Just what we need, more weapons to kill people ..... Humanity has a bloody long way to go!!!

A troll post using a trolling representation of Prayut's name has been removed.

What a species we are! Not content with killing each other, we also do our best to destroy our own habitat!

I thought I saw a recent story about a deficit. I’ll go get my eyes checked.

Correct. That's why my bank manager from Bangkok bank contacted me yesterday. The government is going to hit all savings accounts that make 20,000 baht interest with a new tax as of August this year. When does life become livable, as the Junta buys more toys for defense people that have no reason to need it. Who is going to attack us?

Should I buy Boeing stock?

Not unless they need to consolidate power. Now the US will most certainly be pleased with the way democracy is moving forward in Thailand. ????

Wow, war can begin! Let's show that we know how to play too.

How to recognize that a country is "governed" by a general and that the general himself is defense minister?
If the costs for useless weapons of war exceed all other expenses!

"Yeah, I use Thai K-Pop. Scares the hell out of the Farangs. My boys love it."
