Blackhawks arent attack choppers. They are mutipurpose workhorses.

They can certainly be fitted to play such a part, especially given Thailand doesn't really face much by way of actual relevant threats.

Cool people  ask why? Stupid question  every country  needs military  defense  tk protect  borders

Specially in deep south

Do tell about all them times attack helicopters were used in the context of the "Deep South". Or, for that matter, defending the kingdom's borders from the mighty hordes charging from neighboring countries.

INCORRECT HEADLINE :

The army purchased the helicopters for 4.2 billion baht not 12.0 billion as shown incorrectly.

Still 4.2 billion that could have been much better used, even if purchasing military hardware.

Well I know you need to argue, but suffice it to say, the venerable Blackhawk cannot be configured for the Modern, more accurate weapons to be found on the Little Bird.

The revelant threats are why the Little Bird was a wise choice.

What you "know" obviously doesn't include the fact that various variants/upgrades of Blackhawks can (and do) carry pretty much all of the items on the shopping list appearing in the OP.

What "relevant threats" would these be? How would modifying/upgrading existing platforms fail to answer these "relevant threats"? And finally, is this really a priority for Thailand?

Can never have enough guns,   that's why Angela Dorothea Merkel  supports the notion of an EU army.

Presumably they're to keep all those pesky farangs and their moaning about TM30 under control.

Remember the "Smart Car" they used a couple months ago to catch the Cameroon guy teaching English without the correct visa? Well, if they could pull that off with a mere car, imagine what they can do with these attack choppers. ...????????...Watch out Aliens.

Attack choppers? And who would they be planning to attack one might ask?

Still the inclusion of 20 sets of night-vision goggles should clinch the deal. Kinky stuff for those who are into that sort of thing.
