Oh my reading is fine lol and I have a wonderfull 35 year marriage with a beautiful family I’ve worked hard all my life and never been a drag on anybody sleep real good cause I have good morals so nope no shame whatsoever lol sorry your boys in trouble lol

Your reading is fine? Well please show me where I made the statement you post accused me of making, Am I to assume you condone out and out lying? There is still that nasty little habit of consistently lying, soyou consider that a moral act?

The leader of our country, President Trump, is a little stronger today because  the left has  just eliminated Biden, absolutely no trouble, but Joe? Sorry Joe, nice try, there is always 2024. LOL

Have you considered starting your post’s with the heading, Once upon a time?

Slate.com's famous impeach-o-meter is now up to a historically high 75 percent. I would say 99 percent. For people unfamiliar with the process impeachment is not the same thing as conviction and removal. For that I would say 5 percent but a higher chance for resignation Nixon style.

If only there was upcoming news footage of Trump holding an orange a-la The Godfather series. The narrative an orange represents in the Godfather movies would solve a world issues right now.

Crank up that pardon machine, double-time.

In addition to barr and rudy, the president seems to be throwing pence and pompeo under the Ukranian Express bus. Pence met with Zelensky in Poland earlier this month. Even mnuchin looked nervous standing next to the president yesterday. Assume he's the one who held the payment for two months, at mulvaney's direction.

No one talks about manafort's Ukranian connecitons anymore. Odd isn't it?

Interesting too is the fact that the Ukranians assumed that only the president's side of the call would be released. Oops.

For those who've read the Whistleblower's Complaint, including Republicans like sasse, say it is extremely troubling.

And one Republican Senator said that if the Impeachment Conviction vote were held in secret, thirty (30) Republican Senators would vote to convict.

And finally, the Senate voted 54:51 (not veto proof) to rescind the president's national emergency at the southern border, thereby removing his ability to reallocate funds to build his wall.

Time to rake the forest floor?

That was big news that has needed to take a back seat under the circumstances. What is does show is that Trump no longer has unwavering support in the party. Before Reps have been weary to stand up to Trump for fear of repercussions. I wonder if now the possible repercussions of supporting Trump are now beginning to be seen as outweighing the repercussions of not supporting him.

Rats on a sinking ship, (look at how many republicans have retired), scrambling over each other to get to the railing first so they can jump before going down. sasse seems to be wavering.

lindsey graham still holding firm though, can't imagine what is being held over his head to keep him in line?

Imagine Dan Coates will have to testify about what he knew, and why such an abrupt departure (while insisting his #2 also resign ASAP).

And ex- U.S. Ambassador to Ukraine, Marie Yovanovitch, will likely make a compelling witness.

Hopefully the president will have to sit for a deposition, like President Clinton did.

Who knows what he'll do with the walls closing in? Resign, get a pence pardon? Fight on?

The main problem is in the Senate,  Republicans have a 53% majority who are all "followers" of POTUS.

So impeachment is a waste of time, the Senate will never ratify impeachment against their "leader"

At that time even his cronies might not follow him.

Yes, it is possible enough republicans could turn if and when they realize he's toxic to their political future. What didn't seem remotely possible a few days ago now has entered at least the realm of the possible, and this is just the BEGINNING!

White House accidentally emails Trump-Ukraine talking points to Democrats

The White House just offered a painful reminder to always double-check the recipients before hitting “send” on that office email. Shortly after the release of an explosive memo showing Trump pressuring Ukraine to investigate Joe Biden, the administration appeared to accidentally send its talking points on the scandal to House Democrats.

Unbelievable!

Trump goes through 2 years of Mueller regarding foreign intervention in US elections, then turns around and tries to do the exact same thing again.

I get that there are Americans who like Trump's policies (or who could not have voted for Hillary); that is a perfectly reasonable thing. However, I find it very hard to believe that Americans in general approve of a grievance-spewing, hate-fueled, unethical, amoral type of person to be their face and representative.

I have said it before and will say it again

Donald trump is an ever-expanding cloud of toxic waste that defiles everything it touches.

Please my American friends; get rid of this swamp thing and return to making the planet a better place. You are so much better than this!

Balanced comment, diamond in the rough.  There are indeed many frustrated Americans who approve of a few of his efforts, in broad terms, while also despising him as a horrible presentation of a US President.   It doesn't have to be one or the other, and that's what I despise about the tribal nature of politics and discourse.  Both ends of the spectrum are just as bad as each other.

I read the transcript memo last night.  Quite obvious to me what was going on between the lines in what was/should have remained a perfunctory fluff phone call.  I hate to agree with the smarmy worm Schiff, but there sure is a likeness between this, and how President Trump tried to play Comey in their one-to-one meeting re: Flynn.  Indirect.  Leaves room for doubt and deniability later.

I don't think we'll get impeachment from this.  Trump will wiggle through but there will be another "aw s**t" around the corner.  It's inevitable.

Either overlooked or ignored is the fact that Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy announced at a conference that the United States had released $250 million in military aid – with an additional $140 million on top of that sum. http://www.msnbc.com/rachel-maddow-show/support-ukraine-extra-140-million-draws-scrutiny

NBC News’ Chuck Todd asked Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin where the extra $140 million came from. From the transcript:

  • MNUCHIN: Well, it was appropriated money that came through the State Department.
  • TODD: [Ukrainians] didn’t know they were getting this money. Is there any indication why they got the money when they did?
  • MNUCHIN: I’m not sure it’s correct for you to say they didn’t know they got the money. –
  • TODD: The president said he was surprised to get it. The president of Ukraine said he was surprised to get an additional $140 million. He said it was a pleasant surprise but that he was surprised.
  • MNUCHIN: I think he was referring to his expectations, as opposed to necessarily a surprise. But you’re getting into details.

"When you are waiting for $250m have the possibility to get $390m, I like this sort of relationship,” said Mr Zelensky.  https://www.independent.co.uk/news/world/americas/us-politics/trump-ukraine-joe-biden-military-aid-zelensky-kiev-a9111106.html

Might Trump have thought that he was able to get Zelensky's cooperation to investigate the Bidens and decided to kick in a little "hush" money? Being outside of the congressional approved funding for Ukraine it was essentially unaccountable or treated as part of an unofficial  slush fund. Remember that Trump and Pompeo had been slashing the State Department funding up to 30% - but now it has $140 million to spare? Thankfully, Zelensky disclosed the additional $140 million so if Trump was intended it as hush money - that didn't work.

No pression..

"It was clear that Trump will only have communications if they will discuss the Biden case," Serhiy Leshchenko, an anticorruption advocate and adviser to Zelensky, told the outlet. "This issue was raised many times. I know that Ukrainian officials understood."

The can (if any) would have been opened anyway.

From what we know, Trump was trying to use all available resources to prepare a major propaganda operation against Biden. This communication operation is likely to be more effective if conducted later: at least after primaries and if possible not too early before elections in order to make sure emotional reactions would not have enough time to fade.

Having now the Biden case into public scrutiny is far from optimal from Trump's perspective: his propaganda operation is not ready yet and Biden and the Dems have plenty of time to react to it before elections.

Yes, it was all caps of course.

Well, I rarely have anything good to say about the current occupant of the white house but that tweet at least indicates that he has the good quality of KNOWING THYSELF.

No, but after all the evidence is laid out on national TV Trump's posse will have their votes recorded for all the independents and fence sitters to see,

Yes, the "trump" fan optimists are forgetting that each case of impeachment and attempted impeachment (Nixon resigning) exists in it's own historical uniqueness. It's not rational to predict the political outcome at this time based on ANYTHING from the past.

Whistle-Blower Is Said to Allege Concerns About White House Handling of Ukraine Call

The intelligence officer who filed a whistle-blower complaint about President Trump’s interactions with the leader of Ukraine raised alarms not only about what the two men said in a phone call, but also about how the White House handled records of the conversation, according to two people briefed on the complaint.

The whistle-blower, moreover, identified multiple White House officials as witnesses to potential presidential misconduct who could corroborate the complaint, the people said — adding that the inspector general for the intelligence community, Michael Atkinson, interviewed witnesses.

Mr. Atkinson eventually concluded that there was reason to believe that the president might have illegally solicited a foreign campaign contribution — and that his potential misconduct created a national security risk, according to a newly disclosed Justice Department memo.

You know what they say. It's the COVERUP that will get you …

This is getting super serious for "trump" now. The coverup shows widespread CONSCIOSNESS OF GUILT regarding what went down in the call.
