Second Thai-Myanmar Friendship Bridge to boost Thai exports

TAK (NNT) - The second Thai-Myanmar Friendship Bridge to open on October 30 this year, is expected to stimulate border trade between the two countries. Access via the new bridge will help raise the value of border trade exports from the present 80 billion baht to 100 billion baht.

Bangkok to test run air purifying tower on 8th October

BANGKOK (NNT) - Air quality in Bangkok and neighboring provinces has returned to normal after rain in recent days, which helped eliminate airborne particles. Latest air quality readings range from good to very good. The Bangkok Metropolitan Administration (BMA) is to install and test run an air purifying tower situated below the Siam BTS Skytrain station on 8th October to gauge its effectiveness in PM 2.5 dust reduction.

Agriculture Minister says he did not encourage use of hazardous chemicals

BANGKOK(NNT) - Agriculture and Cooperatives Minister Chalermchai Sri-on has confirmed that he and Deputy Prime Minister/Commerce Minister Jurin Laksanawisit, have never encouraged the use of the hazardous chemicals, paraquat, glyphosate and chlorpyrifos.

Outpouring of public support for judge suspected of attempting suicide in Yala court

People on Saturday placed flowers in front of the Yala Provincial Court to show their support for Khanakorn Pianchana, a judge who allegedly tried to kill himself on Friday in the court premises.  A message that said “Return verdict to the judge, return justice to the people” was also placed among the flowers.

Six elephants perish in Khao Yai’s ‘hell’s abyss’ waterfall

Vietnam’s automobile production hit due to imported vehicles

The Vietnam Customs Department has reported that 109,000 automobiles were imported into the country in the first nine months of 2019, increasing 167.8 per cent or US$2.4 billion (Bt73 billion) and expanding by 157 per cent compared to the same period last year.
