Pro-election activist arrested for allegedly violating Computer Crime Act

A political activist was arrested by police from the Computer Crime Suppression Division at his residence on Monday night, on charges of posting a statement on his Facebook page which is alleged to be in violation of the Computer Crime Act.

Chinese woman, 60, struck down by motorbike on busy Wiset Rd

PHUKET: Police have yet to decide whether any charges will be pressed against a Thai woman after the motorbike she was riding struck a 60-year-old Chinese woman on the busy Wiset Rd in Rawai yesterday (Oct 7).

Kid, 13, hid and robbed store after hours - used push bike for getaway

CCTV led to the capture of a 13 year old boy who hid in a department store in Nonthaburi. After waiting for it to close he emerged and robbed two stores before making a getaway on a bicycle.

Deadline to sign contract on high-speed train project postponed

Political activist Karn Pongpraphapan was taken into custody early on Tuesday after Technology Crime Suppression Division (TCSD) police arrested him at his house in Phahon Yothin on Monday night for posting a message on Facebook about foreign history allegedly in violation of Section 14 of the Computer-Related Crime Act.

Taste Shop Spend Campaign Phase 2 not offering free money

BANGKOK(NNT) - After overwhelming feedback from the Taste Shop Spend campaign, the Minister of Finance has confirmed the campaign will be extended into Phase 2 with criteria and regulations adjusted to attract more persons with purchasing power to spend their own money, without offering a 1,000 per person allowance as in the first phase.

Man arrested for allegedly using credit card stolen from German tourist

New IoT devices considered to prevent crime, make roads safer
