3 months for proof of onward travel ticket?

Featured Replies

I'll be buying a plane ticket as proof of onward travel, to get a SETV in Phnom Penh. I'll be doing a 30-day extension.

I'd actually like to use my plane ticket for after my visa ends, however, I'm worried that a POOT that is more than 60 days won't be accepted. It's possible to change ticket dates, but the last time I tried this, the change cost the same as buying a new ticket.

Is it possible to have POOT of which the ticket is 3 months (/less than 90 days) instead of less than 60 days?

while not quite the same, many times when I fly to Thailand and get the visa exempt, I have had plane tickets with departure dates well after the 30 day visa exempt time.  I often knew that I might extend my visa, but was not sure based upon my home (USA) contract work schedules.  EVA charged little to nothing to change a departure ticket so I would book for a later departure and change it if needed, or I would extend.

Not sure but I think the embassy in Phnom Penh will accept a ticket out within 90 days of when the visa issued like many others do.

Check with an agent there about it before submitting the application.
