Naew Na reported that a variety of illegal immigrants and over stayers had been rounded up in operations by immigration police throughout the province of Surat Thani in Thailand's south.

Those arrested ranged from migrants to an apparent Western tourist to a som tam (papaya salad) seller.

Arrests took place on Koh Samui, Koh Phangan and the mainland.

On Samui a man called Alexander - no nationality was given - was picked up off the street in Maret on a 100 day overstay and handed over to the Bo Phut police.

On Phangan a 47 year old Nepali man was arrested on Had Rin beach for a 759 day overstay.

At a rubber plantation Kanthu, 22, a migrant from Myanmar was arrested for illegal entry into the kingdom.

Surat Thani immigration, several divisions of the tourist police and Krabi immigration were all named by Naew Na as being involved in the latest arrests.

They asked the public to keep the calls coming to the immigration's hotline to report illegal activity.

To the Moon , alien not of this world ..

Looks like they caught a grey in the 3rd picture ... maybe can give Mulder a run for his money.

" They asked the public to keep the calls coming to the immigration's hotline to report illegal activity. "

Why would not they stop themselves?

I do not know if it's true but I suspect that it is:
ask for 5,000 baht instead of the 1,900 officials for the extension of an annual visa, what is it? If not theft ...and illegal activity :1zgarz5:

The authorities boasting about bullying the poor and harmless on behalf of the unelected shameless. Thailand has sunk so low.

Alien has always referred to the idea of being a foreigner. In London the alien registration office is near Southampton Row.  There appears to be a generation of uneducated people whose knowledge comes from Star wars or Men in Black. Or are some people trying to be funny.

one phone call .... to phone home

That's right, all you pesky foreigners are 24/7 under the spotlight. Must be terrible living in a country where at a moment's notice you could be arrested and thrown out. Don't lay roots in a country that doesn't want you. My advise is just rent per month, and be prepared to move out within 24hours notice.

I guess thats where the saying come from, If it Fly's Floats or <deleted> then rent it
