Man Gunned Down at Pattaya Karaoke

Another shootout occurred in the middle of Pattaya, something that happens quite often even though the police are trying hard to suppress people who possess weapons in public.

At 3.00am on 25th March the Pattaya police was informed that a shooting occurred at a karaoke bar located on Pattaya 3rd Road. At the scene the officers found a seriously injured person so quickly took him to the hospital and informed the Pattaya Police Chief; Pol. Col. Sutin Sappuang about what happened.

A friend stated that the injured is Mr. Nonthachai Kaew-Arun, aged 27. He stated that they and four friends went to drink at a Karaoke Bar. Later the friends started leaving one by one until there were the two of them left.

In the venue they did not have any arguments or fight with anyone so he was surprised to find 4 men on 2 motorbikes waiting for him outside the venue. The men attacked him and when his friend Nonthachai ran out to help him, the men using two guns fired about 6 shots at him. As Nonthachai fell down, one of the men walked up close and shot him once more before fleeing on their bikes.

The officers went to the hospital to see how the injured was doing. They found that Mr. Nonthachai was in a very serious condition. He was shot in the left and right side of his stomach, once in his left hand, and once in his right elbow.

Pol. Col. Sutin stated the officers have already some information about these men that committed this crime and are trying their best for a possible arrest.
