Pharmacies you trust

Featured Replies

Hi,  we have heard a lot about the hospitals overcharging and my insurance has finally caught up to the fact that they are being overbilled by a hospital in the Silom Sala Daeng area.

This means that I need to find a place to get prescriptions filled.

I am thinking that I am not alone in this so I am hoping that we can set up a list of Drug stores Pharmacies that can be trusted.

To start off does anyone know where to go to fill a prescription int he Silom area?

Thank You

Most medications here do nto require  prescription and the few that do, usually can only be gotten at a hospital.

You can readily buy most medications -- including heart/blood pressure medications, antibiotics, etc etc at any pharmacy.

I am not sure how this will work with your insurance, need to see what sort of documentation they require as doctors here do nto have prescription pads as suchand pharmacies don't really work on a prescription basis, they just sell drugs directly to consumers.

Stick to ones with air conditioning.

Note that in private hospitals they often prescribe western brand name medications when in fact there are quite inexpensive locally made generic equivalents which are fine.

Thanks

Yeah it was funny I mentioned to my doctor that there was an issue he immediately said well I have 2 options go to the other hospital he works at half price for the medication or he can prescribe the cheaper Thai meds.  LOL

Now the question is what is the rate that CDN version of the med costs.

Why not list the medications, and have us tell you the price and availability over the counter.

Some medications are cheap in strange places.

I take

Doxoazosin 2mg, cheapest at government hospital for 1bht/tablet.

Finasteride 5mg, cheapest from an online ladyboy shop 450bht/30.

Is the ladyboy moniker essential to the price? the product? or just is? ????
