Future Forward seeks end to mandatory military conscription

Members of the opposition Future Forward Party led by party-list MP Lt-Gen Pongsakorn Rodchomphu have submitted a draft for a revised Conscription Act calling for military service to be voluntary except in dire circumstances.

Man found dead in smoke-filled pickup, wife believes depression led to suicide

PHUKET: A 24-year-old man whose body was found in his pickup truck parked in front of his rented room in central Phuket last night (Nov 13) is believed to have committed suicide in s fit of depression.

Mekong countries brainstorm drugs production suppression

THAI losses Bt4.68 billion in Q3 2019

The national carrier Thai Airways International (THAI) announced the turnover of the company and its affiliates in the 3rd quarter of 2019 on Thursday (November 15), reporting a net loss of Bt4.68 billion, 27 per cent higher than last year’s result or Bt994 million. This loss translates to Bt2.14 loss per share, which is Bt0.44 higher than last year or 25.9 per cent.
