webfact 183848
Filipina at language school thought she'd "done nothing wrong" by not getting a visa stamp Picture: Naew Na A woman from the Philippines told immigration that she didn't think she had done anything wrong after she was arrested for not having an entry stamp in her passport. Domingo, 58, had been registered as a student at a language school in Chiang Mai. When her visa expired she left the country over the border at Mae Sai. Then she returned over a "natural border", reported Naew Na. She was discovered when Division 5 Immigration police carried out a routine check on people registered at the school. They found a stamp out but no stamp in. Miss Domingo claimed she thought it was all okay as she had then reapplied to the language school to extend her period of study. Naew Na did not explain exactly what was meant by coming in through a "natural border" in their report of this case from a news conference held at immigration HQ in Bangkok yesterday. The suspect was held for illegal entry into Thailand. You can study on any visa or a visa exempt. Unless you're going to apply for an ED visa, the school has zero reason to even look at your passport. dogfish180 756
It's a good job 7/11 are stopping the use of plastic bags, as this will ensure that there is enough plastic left to keep printing these childish boards 🙄
Langkawee 396
With all those police resources used, flow charts, diagrams, I would assume they have caught Lector Hannibal, no doubt he's still on the roam while the Burmese are being executed, Dont they realise how silly they look, they don't put on such a show for Cambodians and Laos, these poor people were just trying to make a living, it's really no big deal, give them the work permits they deserve, and its more the fault of the school taking advantage of the destitute. Obviously mercy for the poor working class is not a pillar of Buddhism
