Girl Uses Fake Money in 7-Eleven

The staff of a 7-Eleven store in front of Wat Chaimongkhon Temple informed the Pattaya police at 8 pm on 27th March that they had detained a little girl who came in to use fake bank notes in the store.

At the scene the police found a girl aged 13 being detained by the staff. She told the police that she came with 6,000 Baht that her grandmother gave her to pay for the electric bill. She didn’t know that three of the one thousand baht notes were fakes.

The grandmother was called in for questioning. She stated that all the money she earns come from her sales from her grocery shop on Pratumnak Road. She did not know that they were fakes if she did then she would surely not give them to her granddaughter to come pay the bill like this.

The manager of the 7-Eleven shop doesn’t wish to press charges since no harm was done but the police are trying to help this lady to find where the notes came from – who used them to buy things from her shop to prevent these fake bank notes from spreading by the gang that made them.
