Changoverandout
We’re going end of January so will check it out. Not worried if it’s quiet as long as some good restaurants.

At times during the day I had the beach to myself. I sat in the same bar 2 nights in a row and was the only customer all night long. I shot several free games of pool with the girls working there and were just as bored as I was. You're going to the wrong places mate. The same places that nobody else goes to which is why you're alone! There are lots of places like that but there are also lots of others that have ridden the storm and doing very well. The bars and restaurants 'out of town' do far better than those in the so-called 'tourist traps'. I can understand these reviews from visitors as they don't know the town. Yes in a word. The nightlife will change as it always will, but it is far better than anywhere else in the world that I know. In any case I live with my Thai wife and we own a house here. geisha
I used to stay in Tira Tira not far from the station and night market. Had a nice condo but the pool was freezing so moved to Jomtien. The drains were bad then, about 6 yrs ago. Phuket’s the same, depending where you are. What I hated in Hua Hin, lots of rats there. A bit boring too, there was only the one mall. I loved the All In restaurant, it was clean , and some nice European foods.,
