Fourteen Year Old Girl Raped

Pattaya Police was informed that a 14 year old Thai girl had been raped in a construction site on Soi 15, Pattaya 2nd Road on the evening of 30th March.

The scene was a crowded construction camp with over 100 rooms made of wood and corrugated iron. In room 3 the police met the girl’s parents; Mrs. La-Orng, aged 31 and her husband comforting their 14 year old daughter.

Mrs. La-Orng stated that her daughter came to Pattaya during her school holiday. This was her 2nd day here. That day the parents went out to work and worked overtime. Her daughter stayed at the camp with her younger brother aged 9 years old. When the parents returned just after midnight, they found her daughter crying.

It was found that Wichit Jonghoiklang, aged 27, from Buriram province; working for the same company and lives in room 5, was responsible.

It was claimed that afternoon while this girl was doing the laundry; Wichit forced her into the bathroom and raped her. He threatened to kill her if she told anyone so she kept quiet. Later at night she fell asleep in the room alone while her brother was playing outside; Wichit entered the room and raped her again for the second time that day. After he got what he wanted; he walked back to his room like nothing happened.

The police searched Wichit’s room but he was already gone so the police detained Wichit’s friend for questioning. In the meantime, this unfortunate girl was taken to the hospital for a checkup for evidence and an arrest warrant will be issued for Wichit’s possible arrest.
