English teacher, 26, who 'lived life to the fullest' dies suddenly in Cambodia

His family have paid tribute to a 'kind, loving and trusting' man

A "trusting and loving" teacher from Barry has died unexpectedly while travelling through Asia with his partner. Lewis Davies, 26, suffered a seizure in Cambodia in the early hours of December 18 and died after his heart stopped, despite receiving more than 30 minutes of CPR.

Mr Davies, who was epileptic, was travelling through Thailand, Vietnam and Cambodia on a working holiday with his partner. The couple were teaching English as they travelled. Cambodian police received reports that a British tourist had died at the Riverside Backpacker Lodge, in Phnom Penh, at around midday on Wednesday.

ThaiVisa, c'est aussi en français

ThaiVisa, it's also in French

I wonder if he ran out of meds and wasn't able to replace them over there, way to young

What a shame!!! His short life says all. I lost a brother in the same circumstance when he was 20.

RIP. Young boy.

A callous post trolling about a work permit has been removed, the replies had to be removed as well.

Epilepsy?  Traveling the world?  Is this a wise thing to do.

I have known people with more serious medical conditions who successfully traveled around the world. My question is not their wisdom of decision for travel, but rather respect and admiration for their use of limited time remaining. Sit at home and watch the sands of the hour glass pass, or get up, get out and live.
