Very far from being modern and with openminded attitudes.

  • Garbage trucks are too old and small. No proper system to dispose of big items from household efficiently.
  • Not enough dustbins to be found for people to throw rubbish in the cities.
  • Catching motor bikes seems more important than black exhaust offences by trucks and cars.
  • Education on importance of safe air and anti-pollution is lacking.
  • The attitude and mindset needs to change. They do not cherish what they have and things are taken for granted.
  • Offences and fines not seriously implemented.

Had been complaining to the municipality on neighbours burning burning rubbish but its deaf ears. (if authorities don't respond and care, what do you expect of the common man).

Was disgusted to know that only black plastic garbage bags with the government logo will be pickup. Later learnt from the village chief that it was corruption to control prices and ensure people must buy from them. With change of admin, now any black rubbish bags will be collected by the garbage collectors.

Poor Chiang-Mai City will soon be coking with filthy air again. Lets see what improvements this year will bring.

I just checked my Air Visual app for my hometown near CM

It is 166 in the RED

So much for a seasonal smoke season

Looks like it will be all year round

The air quality was pretty good before Uncle came in to power

It is his problem. ????
