True Hi-speed Promotion Speed Didn’t Deliver As Promised.

Featured Replies

Since signing up True Hi-speed promotion I don’t receive the promise speed of 1Mbps, :o what I got from speed test result are only 218Kbps. Call their service center and was told nothing wrong on their site, isn't this another sale pitch bullshit from True?

Have any of you folks out there facing the same problems like me or am I the only one crying the heat. :D

I don't have true anymore but with you never get what you paid for.....

The best speed you'll ever get is if your lacation is around 100 m from the Exchange wit the High-Speed Module! Otherwise you'll never get for what you paying for.

Physically that's possible only if you use Fibre Optic cable until your House!! Cost of the cable is around Baht 1,800.00 per meter!! Another point of "disgrading" is that the sharing of the public onnection is quite high!

I am about 50 meter from the exchange with a dedicated cable, which I use alone.

And internet (or better call it intranet) inside Thailand is super fast, but that doesn't help when http protocol does not go out/in for 10 from 60 seconds in the evening. Or the squid on the transparent proxy is telling funny things.

It is not a connection problem here it is the international link or the funny transparent proxy filters (which protect us and thais against porno).

I often saw in the evening that http does nearly not work (14.400 modem is a lot better) but torrents do work at high speed.

Before upgrading, my internet of 256kbps speed is much better than what I get now. I agree the exchange theory and accept peak hour congestion but not worse than before I upgraded the package.

If such promotion keeps going on and more people signing up, there bound to be problems sharing the bandwidth among ourselves which is unfair for those paying the higher package and I think True is deceiving and owed us customers an answer.

Thanks everybody for your kind answer.

If you still believe what True advertises, I'd suggest you start beliving in Santa Clause too, better chance with Santa, if you ask me...

Well if it's Santa Clause, at the very least my child might got a chance in receiving a gift in some shopping malls during X'mas festive season.

I will wait and see what True going to guarantee their very Thai customers.

Alexth what a well worded meaning. :o Nice day and thanks to everybody.

I agree their promo is a scam. I tried to change to the new pricing (as it was 700+ baht cheaper per month), but I need to install another true line, (even though I have an ADSL true line). Unfortunately without competition this company will make out like a bandit. Ditto "True Visions". True = Ripoff, but what to do if you want broadband and cable TV?
