April 2, 200719 yr is that a question or a cliche. If it was a question then yes. Look at my joining date. If it was a cliche - then great timing... WHen I typed it I wasn't sure, but before posting I looked your profiles myself. WHen I returned to (change my) post it seemed particularly appropriate all the same.
April 2, 200719 yr Author Some great replies here, I never knew there was so many things that upset us! Another one that just slightly gets my goat: When someone states they have just bought some land, meaning they have bought it thru their Wife and being optimistic about the relationship calls it the Royal we...... They will almost be killed in the rush of people screaming " YOU CAN'T OWN LAND " Good Luck Moss
April 3, 200719 yr Just like the know-it-alls who did something in Thailand five years ago (importing household goods f.e.) and insist that the way they did it those days is the only right way...ignoring that the laws might have changed and continue changing.
April 3, 200719 yr Not a cliche, but the overuse of emoticons really annoys me. Especially this one: Seriously... use some imagination. Really? That's one of my favourites! It is a high-quality emoticon, indeed, expressing subtle irony. Sorry but I thought the terms "subtle" and "irony" did not belong here in Bedlam. In yer face p1ss taking maybe, but no!
April 3, 200719 yr those who have to include the previous three posts (or more) and then add something totally stupid like 'som na naa'. So, to recap, stretching the page widthways and making me scroll down and down and down makes my blood boil. I love expressions like that, I always think of my Nanny - she was just like Arthur Mullard
April 3, 200719 yr Those who quote an entire previous reply and add their comments within the body of the quote without changing style, font or colour. So if you want to know what they're saying you have to play spot the difference.

April 3, 200719 yr even better are those who do not type anything in the reply, but just quote someone else. Hadn't thought of that one, but that's definitely one of my hates. It makes you wonder what they're trying to say. Do they agree? Do they violently disagree? Have they no opinion at all?

I have often thought that they don't know how of what the function does, newbies or ludites maybe?

Does anyone do the same as I do ..... read the whole quoted text to see if there are any differences or words made bold to emphasise a point of view. I used to, now I don't bother .... if I see a box that fills the entire post..... I just close the window.
April 3, 200719 yr Is stalking a cliche ? Second time you made me LOL and ROTFLMAO Cheers, Yours truly, Cliche but true
April 3, 200719 yr Sorry that's not really a cliche. How 'bout Do not feed the Trolls. April 4, 200719 yr What about Bedlam cliches? Welcoming members before they reach 500 posts! (remember Limbo)
April 4, 200719 yr What about Bedlam cliches?Welcoming members before they reach 500 posts! (remember Limbo) a really bad habit! I feel so much singled out since no one wrote me a welcome thread!
April 4, 200719 yr That was soon remedied, quit yer whining!! http://www.thaivisa.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=114497 Edited April 4, 200719 yr by The Dan Sai Kid

Did you network before you entered Bedlam, Raro? You gotta network or nobody will welcome you, because they don't know what you can do for them today.
April 4, 200719 yr Here's one - What's the first rule of TV moderation? We do not discuss moderation issues!

Did you network before you entered Bedlam, Raro? You gotta network or nobody will welcome you, because they don't know what you can do for them today. :D Absolutely. Jet, my well connected pal. But of course with all the strands in your hair, you stood a distinct advantage over Raro, as all those strands connected to a myriad of threads around the annals of this here board. Here's one - What's the first rule of TV moderation? euhm... a six pack on the go and one in the fridge?

Just thought I'd second (or third or whatever) that because I have been following one thread (on the need to have an onward ticket on entry at a land border) so when I see a new post I check and find the Einstein has done exactly as described above. http://www.thaivisa.com/forum/index.php?sh...amp;st=60 Haven't used any pissed off and angry emoticons for a while so :D (NB for the picky amongst you I did NOT whistle) Edited April 4, 200719 yr by farangsay
April 4, 200719 yr KY, why do always laugh more at the femae member posts? First soph, now Jet, look out NR!
April 4, 200719 yr Another one that occured to me, is when members refer to their kids and feel the need to call them my lukkrung, instead of my son/daughter.Seems like they are objectifying their children somewhat. IMHO of course Same goes for "my TG" . Excuse me, but do I type "my TH" ?? Did someone type that cliche already? My other personal favorite (being a woman) is being told that because I disagree with some man I must hate men. Or I am a feminazi.

My other personal favorite (being a woman) is being told that because I disagree with some man I must hate men. Or I am a feminazi. Oh, thought that was my claim to fame! That's the one I get all the time. There was one thread in General Topics about 3 weeks ago where one member said something mildly sexist. Another member quoted it with the line underneath "November Rain, Jet Gorgon, are you going to let him get away with that?" I nearly killed myself laughing. I was seriously tempted to quote the whole lot & just write "Yep!" underneath. However, you did get a very vehement one in ladies forum a few days ago, I noticed. Fun guy he was. Think there were some real issues there...
