Maybe for the "foto soldiers", but their leaders do not like to be too soon amoung 72 Virgins...

Strategically Iran has no option but to do shock and awe back. Expect a lot of burning refineries, oil tankers and the Straits of Hormuz soon, whether that matters economically we are about to find out. Time to buy oil stocks whilst you still can.

The US operation at Baghdad airport, however, liquidating a commander the Iranian regime has built into a popular legend and groomed for high office, is something the Islamic Republic is near certain to respond to with multi-barrelled fury.

"At the direction of the President, the U.S. military has taken decisive defensive action to protect U.S. personnel abroad by killing Qasem Soleimani," a Pentagon statement said.

Donald will apologize if it will get an extra 5000 on the Dow Jones.

Because Soleimani was killed, or because Soleimani was sent to Iraq to escalate attacks against Americans, for which he was killed? Logically it would be the latter. Either way the US would need to remove citizens.

Because he was killed.

From the linked feed

“US embassy in Baghdad has urged American citizens to depart Iraq immediately

The United States embassy in Baghdad has called on all it citizens to depart Iraq immediately on Friday. The order follows the US airstrike killing Iranian Quds Force leader Qassem Soleimani and Iraqi militia commander Abu Mahdi al-Muhandis in an air strike.”

Because Soleimani was in Iraq, therefore he was there to kill Americans? Do you know that Soleimani has been a regular frequenter of Iraq for many years. How many Americans have died by violence in Iraq since the expulsion of Isis? If, in fact, Soleimani has been plotting American deaths all those years, he must have been massively incompetent at his job. His death would be a loss to America and of great benefit to Iran.

Exactly, he has been killing Americans in Iraq for years. He was not there to barbecue marshmallows at the US Embassy.

REally? Since the expulsion of Isis how many Americans have been killed in Iraq?

Do you think Iran, with its oil reserves under sanction, can effect the price of oil?

Right because this has been a wonderful thing for the markets as I type this right before trading the opening bell on Friday morning.

Although it makes it nice for trading.

This guy was certainly an enemy of the US and more than likely deserved

The enemies of US will not be less after this strike, and I believe also US soon will need some friends after the last decades of wars for no reasons, or for the wrong reasons.

The wonders of the Military Industrial Complex.  Invade the Middle East, spend Trillions of tax payer dollars that mostly go to a few corporations that supply weapons to the U.S military.  Then 18 years later claim a great victory in killing a commander in the Middle East that would never have had the chance to kill U.S. soldiers if we hadn't invaded their space to begin with. The rich keep getting richer by placing our young soldiers in harms way for profit. Meanwhile domestic terrorism grows in the USA, and more and more tax paying citizens can not afford a home, health care,  or higher education.

And isn't strange so few  ever consider there will be an inevitable end  point in the game .

Makes you wonder just what the last President was doing all those 8 years when Trump comes in and annihilates them in short order?

Once again, we are all lucky to have a competent hand on the tiller. What a difference it makes.

He found Osama, and killed him! Clinton and Bush had their chances, but

No. If it was football the quarterback was taken out. The linebackers and the kicker is still around.
