Udon: "Lovely father" murders wife and grown children then hangs himself from mango tree in the garden

A security guard described by his father-in-law as a lovely and caring father bludgeoned his wife and two grown up daughters to death with a wooden club in the family home in Phen district. He then hanged himself from a mango tree in the garden.

PCD meeting this afternoon to address PM2.5 particulate problem

Thailand’s Pollution Control Department (PCD) has scheduled a meeting with related agencies this afternoon (Monday) to discuss the air quality in Bangkok and its suburbs as the amount of PM2.5 particulate exceeded standard levels in 15 areas this morning.

Minister reassures sufficent supply of fuels

Thailand has a crude reserves of 2.98 million litres with 1.14 million litres of fuels which are being transported and 1.46 million litres of refined oil, sufficient for 50-day usage, while 101 kilogrammes of LPG are available for 17 days, the Energy Minister Sontirat Sontijirawong said today (January 6).
