Well the Chinese buy hand bags and other luxury goods by the truckful. Just look at the tax reclaim queues in Siam for instance, almost exclusively Chinese. You see homegoing Chinese in the airport check-ins they've all got huge boxes that they didn't arrive with. Todays exclusive, low class Chinese holiday in China.

Can someone fix this article and the usual typos in the numbers?

If 1.95 million Indians spend 1.1 billion Baht, that's a measly 565 baht per person???

There's established markets and there's growing markets. No doubt Thailand will be represented at the Guangzhou Travel Expo in February too in China targeting the 7m new passport holders that have emerged in the last 12 months. That's their job, and this article shows them doing it despite the detritus showered on them here.

And when the term India is used in these contexts, it doesn't always mean the current geographical boundaries of the Republic of India. India has always been a civilization full of immense knowledge and great wealth. India may also mean the lands where Indic/Indian culture was prevalent and that has always covered the current geographical area of the country of nepal. So it is not 100% factually wrong in saying Gautam Buddha was Indian. The current geographical boundaries didnt exist then and it was different back then

If its true what Tat is trying to achieve and promote CM, and the do start to visit, you will have a different outlook, in pattaya, they walk around the city with beer in hand (allbeit 1 beer between 6) they hassle the bar girls, the guys walk round in groups of 6 or more, a friend of mine staying in a pattaya hotel had 6 sleeping in the next double room, and decided to party at 5am with indian music on full blast, he had to get security and finally they were told to vacate the hotel.

Can't deny the group or herd mentality.  Very common. And the haggling and hassling and price negotiation, or trying to get a group discount with ladies or ladyboys is legendary.  I have yet to see any amount of Indians in any of the gogos along walking street.  Although on my last trip in July I did see some Indian lounge advertising Indian dancers?  I assume there are similar places around town that cater or will be catering to Indians.
