It looks somewhat obtuse and something we have to believe because the boffins say so?

I=  [(Ihi-Ilow)/(BPhi-BPlow)] (Cp-BPlow)+Ilow,

It's not a question of believe.

Everyone should be able to read a PM2.5 meter.

Here and now - it shows between 25 and 30 ug/m3.

I think there are no other air pollutants to consider, 

so the AQI might be between 78 and 89.

OK?

By the way, a village nearby:  AQI 81

Lampang/Mae Moh isn't too far from Phrae,

Phayao, Chiang Rai, so I think this table

might be interesting for all.

P.S.  I know there are different models, I trust this one.

 

By the way, at 10:00 north of Phrae PM2.5  230ug/m3 ~ AQI  280,

while Nong Muang Khai shows an AQI of 315.  Mai pen rai, 280 or 315...

Today began Dry season. Time to burn Thailand in a non-stop mode, until the raining comes.

My shield; Air purifier and air conditioner in non-stop mode. ????
