In fact, only yesterday my wife commented about how there has been a lack of burning this year and I agreed. I think the place where you’re living might be healthier than other places in/around ChiangMai? The results seem very often perplexing, but I think (hope) there is no fake? Many factors are influencing any measurements, so your numbers (37?) that means AQI 105 is not too far away from an average AQI today (in CM) before noon of 130 – 140(?). When he came to Thailand he started to get involved in trying to understand the pollution situation here and he started up a number of threads on the subject. At that time and I'm talking 2005 or so, there were only five pollution monitors in Chiang Mai, four fixed and one mobile, none of them could measure PM2.5 which at the time could only be calculated from the PM10 reading. As knowledgeable and intelligent as he was he refused to accept the concept of wind blown pollution from other countries, but there again neither did anyone else, people said the idea was nothing more than deflection. The PM2.5 concentration 20 km north of Phrae: only 16 ug/m3 - AQI 59. It's a holiday. Situation in Phrae seems a bit worse: 52 ug/m3 - AQI 142 Much better now at 11:00 19 ug/m3 - AQI 65 Most of the North between 61 and 123 ug/m3 - AQI 154 - 186, but should improve.
