Hello , thanks for the help.

I want to apply for a NON O visa at Penang Consulate , could not find any information on the ammount of money that I need to show them and FOR HOW LONG.

Does anyone know if they ask for your money to be in the thai bank for 2 months ?

Thank you in advance ,

Isac.

It is 200k baht for a single entry and 400k baht for a multiple entry non-o visa if applying based upon marriage or a parent of a Thai.

For being 50 or over it is 800k baht and proof of retirement.

You only need to prove the funds are in the bank on the day you apply. It does not have to be in a Thai bank.

Is a letter from the bank required or is the updated bank book enough?

Hi,

Application for a Non Imm O Visa can be done in your home-country, in a neighboring country or at your local IO.

A couple of questions:

  • What is your present Visa situation (Visa validity date / permission to stay date)?
  • Why do you want to apply at the Penang consulate?
  • Would you be applying for a Non Imm O - retirement, marriage or another reason?
  • And would it be a Single-Entry or Multiple-Entry Non Imm O you are applying for?

Your response to these questions, will enable TVF members to provide you with additional options and maybe easier ways to proceed.
