Police check authentication at bangkok

Recommended Posts

Hi

I'm trying to organise a job in China  for this I need a police check to organise my visa now I see this on the royal Thai embassy Canada site so I presume it will work for me. i'm currently working in north eastern thailand

http://www.thaiembassy.ca/en/visiting-thailand/police-clearance-certificates

So according to this I send of  my 100 baht (with supporting documents) and they will organise it for me, i got my last one here, but apparently they dont so random police checks here only en mass for schools.  I will need to put a pre paid return envelope in it (not sure how to do that here).

Has anyone successfully gotten a police check this way in Thailand before? The last time i went to the police station and they took all my fingerprints (but now they have them on record.)

the other option ... is the royal thai police in bangkok able to process police checks on a saturday? .. I know an embassy won't but what about the police .. but the postal method is best id say.

any ideas on this??

thanks guys

You have to apply for it in Bangkok and it takes about as much as 30 days to get it.

See: http://www.pcscenter.sb.police.go.th/eng/index.php

Info for doing it by mail is here. http://pcscenter.sb.police.go.th/filedownload/infomation-service-2.pdf

As far as I know they are not open on Saturdays.

A button on the left side of the home page leads you this agents site that costs more but you can get it quicker. https://www.a-plusservice.com/

thanks a lot UbonJoe thats a great help .. you always know the answer

What if they already have my fingerprints from joho? I can send the original police check with fingerprints on it. Is this a national database for them?

Getting fingerprints done in my own country is not possible so otherwise it means going to bangkok and getting them done there unless they already have the record from joho.

You can get fingerprints done a police station here.

From the PDF file I posted a link to.

"Two sets of original fingerprint. Fingerprint must be taken at local police or Thai Consulate or Thai Embassy in your country together with the official seal and signature of the official taking the fingerprint."

So as my police station won't do the fingerprints here I need to go to Bangkok then? thats what im trying to avoid, they already took all ten of them when it was required for the school. They only do stuff like that here if its enmasse for  a school, foreigners get turned away unless your part of a group. School does not finish for three weeks so im stuck until the end of term, when I can get to bkk.

do you have a letter from your school in china requesting the police check?  bangkok won't do a check without that.

and are you aware of changes in schedules here in china?  lunar new year golden week is about over, but the official holiday has been extended until about feb 03.  they want to keep the half billion migrant workers in place a few more days to try and contain the virus.

next school semester will begin end of february.  17th for most public schools, 25th for most unis and colleges.  that may change.  it's possible the next semester may begin a few weeks later than originally scheduled.

I've been informed that you have to go to Bangkok for paperwork for jobs outside of Thailand.. Im told there is an office for internal and external police checks. The local police don't deal with police checks for people leaving the country. Makes sense to me .. It isn't worth the odd 100 baht. The main one will have a lot more money flowing through it. So its Bangkok.

Are you sure about this?? Can you provide an internet link confirming this. This hasn't been mentioned to me. A school said it was all down to me. I can't find confirmation online

police records check website:

http://www.pcscenter.sb.police.go.th/eng/#

here's the requirements for a foreigner:

http://pcscenter.sb.police.go.th/filedownload/infomation-service-4.pdf

records office won't do a check simply upon request.  you have to provide a letter from your employer requesting it.  the records check will not be for you, but address to immigration authorities in one specified country only.

in case you are unaware, china is now requiring certified copies of your diploma/degree certificate in order to apply for a work permit.

the good news is china now has an online system connected to degree records in other countries.  if you don't have your diploma certified, your school can get it done in 3 weeks(ish), online, for a cost of 350 RMB.

yes, that is the correct link.

got my 1990 us diploma certified with just a photocopy.

if you already have your degree certified, then you may not need to use the online system in china.  i assume you had it certified to use in thailand, then legalized at the thai embassy in england?

in that case, you can have the degree legalized by the thai ministry of foreign affairs (at chang wattana in bangkok) at the same time you get your police report legalized.  then you take both to the china visa center in bangkok to have them authenticated, and then apply for your Z-visa.

contact the visa center by email to see if your certified degree is properly certified.   they usually respond within a day or two, although they are probably closed for lunar new year this week.

For "proof", the centre will accept a letter of invitation or a contract (emailed to you and unsigned is fine).

If you need it urgently,,,,When you go there explain you need it urgently with 1500 baht in hand. You will get it at most in 3 days or as soon as the chief who signs them comes in.
