avvocato Posted February 3, 2020 Posted February 3, 2020 I personally recommend that Trump immediately visit Wuhan for at least a week and demonstrate to the Chinese people his deep concern and sincerity by meeting with them all. 2
natway09 Posted February 3, 2020 Posted February 3, 2020 Leaving the goose out of the conversation I doubt that China will accept "help" from any country as they do not want the gravity of the situation known. You really believe only 300 dead? China would not have even bothered telling us about that amount 1

The CDC delegation will be part of WHO team.

Example: Canadian officials were saying there was no evidence of human to human transmission. When Germany announced the contrary, the Canadians were still with the same statement. Then the USA research backed up the German position, Canada amended its statement to "no human to human transmission - in Canada". They were wrong because the Chinese man who had returned on a direct flight from a high risk city infected his wife in Canada. Canada is currently in the midst of a dispute with China, with 2 Canadians held hostage, which has cost the country billions. It is losing. It also has a very large and influential mainland Chinese population. The Canadian government has acted so as to not offend these people, nor further exacerbate tensions. If Canada is to evacuate its large passport holding group in the danger zone to satisfy political needs at home, it will need the mainland China co-operation. Canada has refused to implement full disease control measures similar to Hong Kong, South Korea, Japan, Australia and the USA in respect to the entry of people from high risk zones. It has only reluctantly agreed to quarantine its airlifted passport holders once they arrive. In the meantime. The Canadian government tried to reassure its population when it said it was relying on self reporting and border security questioning. Shortly thereafter, the first patient with symptoms was allowed into Canada. As his illness worsened he went to hospital. He infected his wife and she followed. The Canadian health officials were still trying to identify and find passengers who had been in proximity to the infected man on the China Southern flight, a few days later. Had the Canadians been on the ball they would have obtained locations for all the passengers at the time of entry. Then a student from Wuhan entered. She was not screened, nor quarantined as the aforementioned countries are doing. She did however, self report and was admitted to hospital in a diseased state. 1
