Of the 19 coronavirus cases in Thailand, eight of the patients have returned home, four have been given the doctor’s okay and will go back home soon, and seven will remain in hospital but have seen good improvement in their condition, Deputy Prime Minister and Public Health Minister Anutin Charnvirakul said today (February 3).

Regarding the evacuation of Thais from China’s Wuhan city, the epicentre of the outbreak, he said there are two medical teams that will be dispatched – a team from Bamrasnaradura Infectious Diseases Institute, including emergency physicians, epidemiologists, and psychiatrists, and a military medical team.

“We have also received medical supplies and living necessities graciously donated by King Rama X for Chinese people, which will be delivered to them on the trip,” Anutin said.

All Thais evacuated will be quarantined at designated locations for 14 days and follow practices of good health, including eating hot food, using serving spoons, regularly washing their hands, wearing a mask, and exercising properly, he said.

“If you are strong and are in good health, it will reduce the infection rate and prevent sickness,” Anutin added.

Did they take the "magic antiviral cocktail" or did they recover spontaneously?

Really?

I could see many factors impacting the severity of the virus, if contracted, but preventing infection (lower infection rate) and preventing sickness by being strong and in good health?

Maybe something was lost in the translation?

I like Anutin but maybe someone with medical training should be the Minister of Public Health?
