But do the rest of the world know? Do the foreign press report things like this and stupid pointing during crime re-enactments, loads of Immigration officers assisted by other organisations nicking an old lady for some not so heinous crime, householders being nicked for not reporting they have foreigners staying in their home, condo, apartment whatever. If they don't then Thailand isn't such a joke...who would know if  it's not reported? Really such occurrences, I guess, are as interesting to the Western press as what I had for breakfast. It isn't going to sell newspapers.

Good comparison, but as long as the pub next door to the mill remains open, retirees will be fine.  ????

This is the "powers that be" please don't blame the Thai people.

Ordinary Thais want nothing to do with the Chinese.

The Generals want more European houses and investments. The average Thai just wants a safe and content life.

The "plague" is not going away.
