".... affords Trump the opportunity to advance his message for what is likely to be a hard-fought battle for re-election on Nov. 3"   LOL - this election is already over - the only question

  • Really, the headline should be reversed: Congress will face Trump after a partisan impeachment sham.

  • Did you watch the speech? Compare Pelosi's emotional maturity with Trump's. That has been the problem all along. No matter how low you may view Trump, the Democratic party has scrambled to stay well b

Let me get this straight because I may need to order some smelling salts on lazada.

You're implying that 45 has emotional maturity?

compared to Pelosi? ya  compared to Schiff?  absolutely  compared to Lincoln?  no

TRIGGERED

After what she did (tearing the speech papers) it's hard to see impeachment as anything else as a political ploy based on blind hatred.

This woman is politically finished...and she knows it.

Of course it's politically motivated. Investigate the man and try and shake out a crime or at least through enough dirt to make some stick.

They couldn't accept their chosen one was beaten. Even more so by a non-politician slimey who'd keep the secrets but by a loose canon prone to speaking his mind before considering the consequences.

Will be interesting if a real unbiased investigative agency is tasked with doing the same digging on Pelosi, Schiff, Schummer, Biden etc to see what "crimes" they might uncover.

Think you right. That Trump is such a petulant child.

Whereas Pelosi is such a balanced, mature, person? Right eh Eric?

Watched the first 45 minutes. Good speech but the standing ovations were a bit much.

Amusing to see the Dem crowd sitting there sullenly but nice to see a few of them occasionally join the clapping.

Telling to see the Squad members doing other stuff or chatting especially when Trump was talking about America First stuff. Even you Dems should be somewhat embarrassed about their lack of patriotism/respect.

Maybe she didn't tear up the page that had the name of the young boy's heroic deceased father on it, whaddya think?

She tore the speech up because the real leaders, the squad, told her to, just like they told her to impeach.

Trump is now guaranteed to be reelected.

Patriotism, like soliciting the help of foreign powers to interfere in elections?!

Well of course, Pelosi couldn’t possibly act on her own decisions.

Let’s see what she does to Trump next.

I remember thinking it was odd that Trump was going to give SOTU speech

while still on trial.

Why not wait until he was acquitted?

Now that I think about it, what a genius move by Mitch to delay the vote.

After that landmark speech of achievements, promises kept and future plans,

let's just see how many democrats vote to convict? Even Susan Collins the RINO

has said she's voting to acquit on both articles.

He's once agin painted Schumer into a dark corner.

it comes down to semantics in some cases.  let's be honest here, ALL politicians lie, stretch the truth, etc...  it is in their blood.  and trump likely leads all others.  but this particular speech was relatively 'true' for him.  i wouldn't classify many of the statements as 'blatant lies' and trust me, i'd give many, many of his comments in the past those labels.

my favorite of the bunch was 'under obama 10 million were placed on welfare and under trump 7 million were removed from welfare'.  what we need clarification on is how many got jobs to get off welfare and how many were just removed !!!

compared to alot of his public speaking (and lie telling), this was one of the best (reduced lies, more truths) and quite possibly the best (although i only saw the first 30 min).

Oops sorry my mistake.

Do not confuse Globalresearch with globalnews.ca, which is a perfectly ordinary news site.

What can go wrong reading from script. The award was strangely out of place.

that's right, he stuck to the script - for once in his life.  he's under alot of pressure right now.  i'm sure it was tough to walk the line and not lose control.

i think you are referring to the rush limbaugh award, i didn't see that part but i agree.  that is odd and i'm not sure rush is the kind of guy that award is meant for.  knowing some of the names that have recvd that in the past, rush doesn't quite fit in there.  tiger woods recvd the award, another one that was a bit odd.

I feel really bad that Rush is dying and has to suffer like he soon will as this cruel disease will ravage his entire body

Got to give it to her though.  She has a remarkable tolerance for embarrassing herself.

It needed to be done.

His campaign speech was, as usual, full of lies.

...yep, but on the second thought - was it his speach? OR (more possibly) those good-for-nothing Impeachment papers???

Think of her frustration ????

trump is a disaster, but it will take some time for american citizens to understand

Did you watch her gazing into space with a crazed look talking to herself? Almost as good as her ripping up the speech like a four year old child having a tantrum.  Just bizarre.
