Coronavirus: “we have done our best”, says Thai health minister

Thailand now has 25 confirmed cases of the coronavirus, and its capital Bangkok is now considered the most at-risk city in the world outside of China for spread of the infection.

 

 

Our Bangkok Correspondent Jonathan Miller has spoken to doctors and officials tasked with tackling the virus, who admit they may only be able to delay its spread rather than contain it.

I really start to feel pity with the government. There seems to be a lot of criticism here in this forum. So what would you do? You have two challenges - the health of the people and the health of the economy. What would be your approach?

Think Thai tourism is doing what is prudent.  Health screening, checking peoples origin of travel. Hubei province is where the people infected are.  Hubei population is 4% of the total population of China.
