I believe you are right;
monkeys are an excellent scapegoat while the main reason is too strong baht ..

Interesting that this article appears to be aimed at Thailand only because there is at least one Thai company that exports coconut milk from Indonesia not Thailand.  No information is available about whether or not there is any monkeying around on that front.

It's not the using of monkeys that gets P.E.T.A.s knickers in a twist they claim that they use cruel methods to train them.
